2nd Line
A programming option that allows the user to use a second phone line to send reports to the monitoring center receiver should the first phone line fail.
232 Communication
Standard serial communication used for direct connection to a computer, local printer, or Uplink AnyNET-DMP Network Access Module. See RS-232.
24-Hour Zone
A zone that is not turned on or off by system arming or disarming. This includes the following zone types:
Fire
Fire Verify
Panic
Emergency
Supervisory
Auxiliary 1 and Auxiliary 2 (24-hour zones by default)
4-2 Communication
A hexadecimal communication format that allows the DMP panel to send alarm and system reports to non-DMP receivers. The 4-2 format consists of a four-digit account number, a two-digit event code, and a one-digit checksum.
4-Wire Bus Trouble
A keypad message indicating trouble on the keypad bus. This message is generated when one of the following conditions occur:
Two supervised devices on the keypad bus are set to the same address.
There are no supervised devices on the keypad bus.
There is low data voltage on the yellow wire of the keypad bus.
10BaseT
The industry standard use of 10-Mbps Ethernet over unshielded twisted pair cabling.
60 Second Power-Up Delay
When 60 seconds after power up or after applying the Reset Button on the panel, any zone transitions are not recognized. Normal zone processing resumes at the end of the 60 seconds. DMP panels use this feature to help reduce false alarms and comply with CP-01 standards.
